The giving of a name at baptism - a Christian, name, as we say - calls us into relationship with Christ and his Church and gives us a new identity and calling. We are made members of Christ, children of God, and inheritors of the kingdom of heaven.

Confirmation is a strengthening of that life of grace and an increase in understanding, strength and godliness. It is our admission into the privileges of the House of God.
